Asa T. Lovejoy
1829-
Asa T. Lovejoy was of English extraction and came to this township in 1850. He worked in the lumber woods. Eighteen months later he bought 40 acres in Section 4, adding to this purchase 20 more adjoining acres in Section 9. He was married in Byron to Lura Wilson in 1854. Mrs. Lovejoy was also of English parentage.

Also in this plot are 5 dead children – Benjamin, 1 month, Lavina, 24 yrs., Martha, 3 yrs., Samuel, 2 yrs. and Stephen, 1 year. Asa’s parents, William (1799-1870), and Esther (1804-1883), are also buried in this plot in Boynton Cemetery.
